The Centro Fundo Moray is a landscape proposal and a poetic interrelation proposal between the lowlands and the imposing mountains that compose the Inca Sacred Valley. It arises from the understanding of contemporary architecture and the recognition of Inca archaeology, tradition, culture and society; emphasizing the traditional topographic disposition, valuing its materials and local construction methods as well as its agricultural tradition.

The project consists of a topographic operation in which a series of terraces and retaining walls are developed, based on the Inca legacy of agricultural fields that lives on. The situation on site is given by the topographic proposal, confined by a ring that merges with the topography of the harvesting terraces. This way, the central space, the most powerful of the project, frames the horizon by focusing and exalting the view towards the surrounding mountains. In this concentric landscape, a sideways perspective is left open towards the stream's basin to accentuate a site specific condition.

The architectural programme, seeks to assume, amongst others, the fundamental functions and of lodging and its complementary services in a ring shaped building that praises the magnificent views and several geographic perspectives. Open spaces are greatly valued to promote traditional labours of local cultures, focused on agriculture, the art of knitting and other crafts. The interior terraces act as the space for cultural and landscape interrelation.

The project is formulated by moulding the terrain as a harmonising material, complementing it with stone and concrete, which not only value the original materials on site, but are also used as tools to shape and contain the terrain.
